Val calls everyone into the living room to make an announcement. Once everyone is in the living room, she begins to speak.

"Hello, HouseGuests. I said earlier in the season that there were more twists to come and I’m here to reveal the next twist,” she smirks. “I hope you haven’t gotten too comfortable with your partner, because it’s time for a Partner Swap. But I am a woman of my word, and because Narinder technically doesn’t have a partner to swap (send a postcard from Purgatory, Mark!), she will be immune for this week and will not be playing in any competitions.

With that being said, your brand new partners have been selected by random draw.” The screen changes from Val to an image of the new duos. The new pairs are:

-Lacey & Birdy
-Nigel & Rita
-Fifi & Bertrand
-Nate & Devika
-Rico & Jamie
-Kaden & JC

“So there are your new pairs! I hope for your sake you guys get adjusted quickly, because this isn’t the only twist coming this week,” she chuckles. “But for mine and the Viewers sake, I hope you’re all miserable. Give us the drama!” She laughs.

“And yes, the same rules for the pairs still apply:

-If one of you wins the HA, the other will not be HA but will be immune.
-When the HA makes their nominations, they will not be nominating two individual people, they will be nominating a pair.
-If one of you wins the POP then you are BOTH safe and if it’s used then it will save BOTH of the nominees and the HA must renominate another pair.

That’s all for now, HouseGuests. See you soon!” The screen fades to black and Val leaves the contestants to process this new information.

The blood boils in Rita's veins. Her heart begins to race. She sees red. The object of all her heart's deepest resentment. If hatred was enough to kill a man, Rita's weaponised power would've been enough to create an explosion encompassing the entire house. It takes all the power within her to not clench her fists and scream.

Rita smiles.

"Wow, Nigel! It seems we're partners from here on out! Isn't that groovy?"

Rico feels... relieved? Anyone was better than Kaden at this point and all that negative energy and paranoia that Rico had just... went away?

He was able to start anew with this girl... uh... who is she?

He looks over to, who he thinks, is Jamie...

"She looks terrible... Dear god PLEASE don't let this be another Chen situation!" He thought to himself. He smiles Jamie's way. "Can't wait to be teammates, Jamie!" He smiles kindly.

Fifi looks over at Bertrand, who she hadn't really seen much of until the house meeting. She scans him up and down with a suspicious look, but then smiles his way and waves. "It's gonna be a whole 'nother ball game, and I'm here for it!" She pulls Bertrand into a tight squeeze...maybe a little to tight. She didn't realize just how feeble he was. "Ooops.. sorry, sugah! But get used to that."

Bertrand was still not than shook by the twist. Once again, it seemed pretty tame for a game like this. It did blow a bit since he was planning to get to know Nate better. He still could, but they wouldn’t have the same type of loyalty they could have potentially had as partners. Now... he’s with Fifi. Did they talk much? Not confident in that, but Bertrand could tell that Fifi was...

HRK! GAH! WHAT WAS HAPPENING HE COULD BARELY BREATHE WHERE IS OXYEN GOING WHAT IS HAPPENING-

He looked as Fifi let go off him from her hug. Phew.

What was the word he was going to say to describe Fifi? Oh. That’s right. overbearing.

“I- look forward... to getting... to know you...”, he weakly said, out of breath.
