Week 5 - Power of Protection Competition

"Hello, HouseGuests!" Val's voice booms over the intercom. "Welcome to your first Power of Protection competition of the season! Before we begin, we need to find out which PAIR will be playing alongside Lacey & Birdy and Jamie & Rico in this competition. In front of you there is a bowl with names of the other HouseGuests, the HA will pick one name to see which pair will be playing with them."

Lacey reaches into the bowl and selects... BERTRAND.

"Bertrand & Fifi! You will be joining Lacey, Birdy, Rico and Jamie in this competition. The rest of you, please take a spot in the peanut gallery!"

Val waits for the HouseGuests to get settled and then continues.

This competition is called Ready, Set, Woah! and here's how it'll work: This competition will be run in five races. At the start of each race, you will hold down the two buttons at the starting line with your hands. Each race will begin when the words ‘Ready… Set…’ appear on the monitor at the end of your lane. When you see the word ‘Go’ you must race down the track and hit any one of your finish buttons. The HouseGuest who hits a finish button last will be eliminated from this competition. Choose carefully, because once you hit a finish button it will be out of play for later races. Be warned! There are decoy words that will appear on the monitors. And if you release either of the buttons before you see the word ‘Go’, it will be considered a false start and you will be eliminated from the competition. After each elimination, you will get back into your starting position and wait for the next race to begin. The last player standing will win the Power of Protection! Understood? Great! Let’s get started."

Hey guys! Welcome to the POP challenge. For story purposes, your characters will be doing a challenge similar to this one: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UVZYG50VtaI&t= So, if you're going to roleplay them doing the challenge, that's what they'll be doing!

As for what you guys will ACTUALLY be doing is you will each be doing 5 rounds of Speed Counting! IN YOUR CONFESSIONAL ON DISCORD, you will begin your time by typing “-stopwatch” without the quotes. Then you must begin counting as fast as possible, by submitting one number at a time, not a string of numbers. You can not skip numbers. Once you get to the final number of that round you will end your time by once again typing “-stopwatch” (once again, without the quotes).

Note: If you make an error or skip a number you are allowed to edit it or deleted the error and resubmit it and continue counting. In the event that you have an error after your time is stopped you will be adding 10 seconds per error from your final count. If you have any questions please ping the mods before you begin this challenge.

The numbers you will count for each round are as follows:
-Round 1: 1 thru 100
-Round 2: 1 thru 200
-Round 3: 1 thru 300
-Round 4: 1 thru 400
-Round 5: 1 thru 500

The slowest time in each round will be eliminated from the challenge.

You will have until 5:00PM EST tomorrow to complete the challenge! If you do not complete the challenge by 5:00PM EST it will not be counted.
