(Week 3) Don't you wanna stay (Private RP w/Rae)

As the moon got high in the dark sky, Harley gets a bit restless from...whatever it is on her mind. Homesick? OH HELL NO! Nauseous? Eh, might be it. But she didn't feel like she was sick before. Missing someone...maybe...but she left so many people behind in the past that missing people has been kind hard for her to do. Maybe all she needs is a walk around the house to ease her antsy feeling.

She gets up from her bed and does just that. In the middle of her walk, she looks up the stairs that led to the ambassador's suite. Maybe...all she needed was some company. But would Rae be awake at this hour. For a moment she hesitates in fear of disturbing her. It might be hella dumb of her to do...but she swallows her fear and heads upstairs. She is surprised to see that the lights were still on through the cracks of the door. Before she could simply walk away like nothing happened, she knocks on the door a few times.

"Hey...Rae? Are you up?"

Of course Rae was up. Rae was ALWAYS up. Her constant anxiety and overly-chipper attitude didn't come naturally--it was the result of years and YEARS of cultivating an insane sleep schedule and caffeine addiction. Even at this very moment, she was munching away on chocolate-coated coffee beans and downing her fourth cup of coffee.

And, of course, she was drawing.

She hadn't done much art while on the show. After deciding to pursue art as a full-time career, it had become significantly less fun and much MORE stressful. Something about taking a break for several weeks had brought back her inspiration full-force, though. Or someone. She set down her sketchbook, now full to the brim with what could charitably be called 'thirst drawings', and threw some discarded clothes over it. She had very little shame, but y'know. Some house guests might not be too happy to show up in her art.

"Always! Come on in!"

Thank God Rae was awake at this hour. She would have more than likely been shit out of luck if it was anyone else in there. As soon a she got permission from her, Harley stepped in with all the awe that she got from being in there the first time. She didn't know what it was about this room, but it never ceased to amaze her one bit. Before she could get too entranced with the room again, Harley looks at Rae who happened to be surrounded by coffee cups and what looked like chocolate.

"What are doing up at this hour, Ms. HA?" She asks jokingly as she grabs one of the chocolate balls and pops it in her mouth. Within a second, she instantly regrets it and wants to spit out the coffee bean. But she swallows it anyway like she does with her pride every day like a CHAMP!

She laughed at Harley's disgust--coffee beans ARE an acquired taste after all. "I am doing some VERY important things. Artsy things. The question is: what are YOU doing up at this hour?"

She tries her best to swallow whatever pride she had left in her. Wow, a coffee bean made her even more stupid than she was before. THANKS A LOT YOU DISGUSTING BASTARDS!!!...but that was one hell of a good question. Even she didn't exactly know why she was awake. So she just shrugs her shoulders as a response to Rae.

"Beats the hell out of me. I guess that I was just antsy and I wanted to just do some laps around the house instead of sitting on my ass for once...What kind of artsy things were you doing?" She says with a smile as soon as she brings up Rae's art.

"TOP SECRET artsy things! You'll have to try MUCH harder to get a look at my porn collection!" ... Okay damn. Rae should've stopped about three cups ago. Girl was practically vibrating-she'd had so much damn caffeine. She flopped back onto the bed with a hearty chuckle and pulled her sketches out from under the laundry. "But I guess, since you took the time to come and visit, you can see a few doodles."

It was... Actually very safe for work, aside from the occasional boob. Mostly drawings of the Mad House's interior--Rae had a special love for background design--and a few candid portraits. She had a strong eye for detail, and all her sketches had a very warm, homey feeling to them. She was clearly a lot more observant than she'd been letting on.

With a chuckle from Rae's porn statement, Harley takes a seat next to her to peek at her sketches. Hot damn, Rae is actually really talented with her artistic skills. Harley has known many artists in her life, but they either aren't that good or they are so full of themselves that they make everything not fun. At least Rae fit neither of those things at all. Which she really appreciates.

"Well I'll be damned. You make this hellhole of a house look amazing on paper! Like for real, all of these look beautiful." She says genuinely. But curiosity still lingers in her about what her other sketches looked like.

"SSSSSOOOooooo, what would t take for me to see your more...exotic pictures?" She says in a playful manner.

Did she even bring any? Rae had meant that more as a joke than anything... Not that she didn't do some self-indulgent garbage on occasion, but she wasn't much for drawing people.

"Maybe," she sat up, criss-cross-applesauce, then grabbed the sketchbook back and started carefully flipping through pages. "I don't think I have any in this book. I'm sorry!" Rae was about to hand it back when she had a brilliant idea (or maybe she was just a little crazy from the aforementioned caffeine high). She grabbed a pencil, flipped to a blank page, and waggled her eyebrows at Harley. "How about a request instead~?"

As Harley patiently waits to see if Rae has any erotic drawings had in store. She leans against the headboard of the bed and skims through the pages as Rae tries to look for anything. As much as would have loved to see something of that nature, she isn't too disappointed when Rae said that she didn't have any.

"Nah it's alrigh...." She stops herself as as soon as Rae grabs her sketchbook and pencil. Rae's cute attempt at flirting made her laugh.

"Hmm...How about..." She gets gets up from the bed and flings herself on the couch. While lying there comfortably, she tries to get herself in a different position while still being comfy."drawing me like one of your French girls."

Harley laughs at her own joke. Although she was half serious about it.

"Oh no you don't--I know that pickup line! Every art student EVER knows that pickup line." Despite her words, she turned to face towards the couch and a telltale scratching indicated she was already happily sketching. "But if you're gonna be my muse, you've gotta start filling in some blanks... Or just tell me stuff so I don't get bored."

"Like... How about rapid-fire speed dating questions? Like. You ask me one, I ask you one, blah blah blah, and a messy hook-up full of regrets?"

Clearly, Harley knows how classic that pick up line was, but it was way too easy to not say it. Either way, she is still made it obvious that she is satisfied with Rae's reaction by smiling at her.

"Oh come on, I'm different because that line actually applies to me. So, it's like a...half pick up line and half true statement." She says in a joking manner. After Rae suggested that they should ask each other questions, Harley tries to think of something without moving a muscle. Damn, this whole modeling thing was harder than she thought.

"How about...What do you like to do on a night out with friends?" As soon as she realized the last thing Rae said, Harley couldn't help but smirk at her.

"...We can have that arranged."She says in a deep and sultry voice.

"Geeze, let me get warmed up first! I'm not as easy as Rose or whatever her name was. You can just give me some ugly costume jewelry and call it good." Rae had never seen Titanic. She had no idea how the movie actually went. She was basing most of her jokes on memes and on the 'Oops I Did It Again' music video.

"But hmm... I mean, I do lots of stuff. I like to go bowling, sometimes we sneak into graveyards, I'm ALWAYS out at parties. As long as I'm in a big group of people, I'm happy." She stopped for a moment, scowling at her sketch and pulling out a kneaded eraser. "God, honey, your cheekbones are gonna be the death of me! But, anyway."

"Who was your first love? Call me cliche, but I love some cheesy garbage."

"Trust me, if you want me to only wear fake ass costume jewelry, then I can if someone has some." As much as Harley wants to look like a cool hipster French girl...she couldn't hide her love for all things involving the Titanic. The movie was good and all, but learning about the lives of people from different classes always intrigued her...oh God, she sounds like a nerd. NNNNNNEEEEERRRRRDDDD!!!

For a moment, Harley tries to look down at her cheek and pokes at it. Hmm, she never noticed that she had noticeable cheekbones."Sounds like a hell of a good time. Graveyards have never been my thing, but, I am always down for a sick party."

"To be completely honest, I never really had a person that I called my first love. I have slept around, but I never stayed long enough in one place to get too serious with anyone."

She then thinks of what else to ask her. Who knew that thinking would have been this hard?"How about...What made you wanna pursue art as a career?"

"I thought that I wanted to do art, but... Doing something you love is a LOT less fun when you HAVE to do it. All day. Every day."

"I kinda don't like committing to stuff, y'know? Is there a job where you can just be fun and popular and talk to people all day? I LIKE cheerleading because I get to hang out with my friends and work together, I like art because I like capturing happy memories and people, and all my other hobbies just revolve around my social life."

She paused, taking a minute to focus more intently on her sketch. She had to get Harley's eyes JUST RIGHT--the girl had these adorable puppy-dog eye bags and the curliest lashes. So cute! "I just wanna be happy, so I thought art would make me happy. Mostly it's a drag and it's a LOT of commitment, people being mad at you, people not wanting to pay you what you're worth... So I guess I like DON'T want to?"

"But, more on you: what's your thing? What are you looking for in a job."

The more Rae continued on about her passion becoming more like a chore, the more Harley feels her pain. She darts her eyes in a different direction for a moment as she remembers when her own passion became her worst might nightmare.

"Hmmm, what you want to do and what you feel like you need to do is a really a hard thing to figure out. We at least both like to make people happy and keep the moment in our heads for as long as we can." She says in a nearly remorseful tone. But she shakes the thought out of her head to not make everything depressing.

She then jolts her head back towards Rae's direction. For a moment, she completely forgot that she was the subject of Rae's little art project. "It may not come to you now, or maybe not sometime soon. But I think that someday you can find your perfect balance. Even though you probably don't need to hear it from preachy old Harley." She says in a mocking tone.

"And well...I don't really have a true passion in mind anymore. I thought I had a future in acrobatics, but it turned out not to be my thing at all. So, right now I mainly tale on odd jobs just to get by. But, I don't mind it. It makes me happier that way."

"Hmmm....If you had all the money in the world, what you do with it?"

"What do you mean you-" she stopped herself. Rae wanted so badly to revisit the whole 'former passion' thing. Harley was not good at hiding her emotions, at least not about that. However, Rae didn't want to scare her off, so she figured maybe she should bring it up later. When they were more friendly.

"Nevermind. Now, let me think: if I had all the money in the world, I would..." She sucked on the end of her pencil, idly chewing on the rubber eraser tip. Rae didn't know WHAT she would do. She didn't even know what her passions or hobbies were at this point. She felt like a blank slate most of the time. "Um. Gosh that's hard. I mean, I'd want to buy cute outfits, probably travel... Change my major or go to trade school."

"THAT'S IT! I'd take a whole bunch of classes just at random until I found something I LOVED to do! Easy-peasy."

With a triumphant smirk, Rae tossed her pencil behind her back and caught it... Well, she almost caught it. But, she didn't lose it when the thing bounced off her outstretched finger, so that's a win in Rae's book! Without missing a beat, she added a few more definitive strokes to her sketch and turned the book so that Harley could view it. "Okay, my turn: how CUTE did YOU turn out?"

At least the mood wasn't drastically changed because of what Harley said. That is the last thing she wants to do right now. She doesn't mind being more open with Rae. But she doesn't feel as though it is the right time to do so.

"Classes? Hmm, I never would have thought of that one. Maybe it's not such a bad idea. My first idea would have been to go anywhere that isn't in France. Just for a different atmosphere, ya know?" She says as she gets up from the couch. Who knew that thing could make a girl so stiff?

Nearly giddy, she jumps up on the bed while still being careful to not ruin her sketchbook. Hot damn, she never knew how gold she would look on paper. Not just because she was the subject, mainly because of the way she captured her image so well. Not to mention in great detail. "Damn...I don't know how to put it in words to describe it correctly. It's amazing. I never honestly thought I could look so good in 2-D. Thank you for doing this." She laughs near the end of her statement.

"Okay, I guess it's my turn...How do you feel about me? And please be honest." She says in a meaningful tone.

Rae was in the middle of another sip of coffee when that bomb dropped.

Of all the questions her friend could ask, that wasn't something she expected. "Well... I mean. I guess... what do you mean? I like you--you're cute and you're fun, and we get along really well."

Harley places the sketchbook down on the nightstand as she scoots closer to Rae. Maybe she came off too strong, her question might have been too much for another girl to hear from her. Dammit! Hopefully from all the times they flirted with each other wasn't Harley just wishfully thinking about what could be between them.

"I mean...I think you're really cute and fun too. Plus, I am glad that we can get along this well. It just...makes me wonder if there is something, anything between us. If it's platonic, sweet! If not...I don't exactly know what I would do to be honest." God Dammit! Why is Harley acting like a school girl around her crush. Well, this whole 'expressing her feelings' thing was still kinda new to her since normally she was used to simple flings with girls that either want to experiment or she never sees again after one night.

”Well, uh...” Rae was not about that Long Distance business, and even if she was, she hadn’t known Harley for that long. But, she couldn’t just say no!! She did really like the girl. There would be potential for a relationship if not for the competition and the distance. Her first instinct was to just play along and see where things went, so...

“I like you,” she laughed. “I thought it was obvious.”

For once, Harley felt like a total idiot about what she said. Although Rae said that she did obviously like her, Harley still didn't think about what would happen after this show is over. As much as she would love to leave France for good, reality wouldn't allow it. Plus, it just sounded too stupid. So...even if it is just a friends with benefits sort of ordeal, she still wanted to make this relationship count. With this in mind, she leans towards Rae and finally plants a kiss on her black stained lips. It just like it was right for her to do since they both obviously liked each other.

Rae let Harley kiss her for a while--she grinned a bit when lips would allow for it, wrapped her arms around the other girl, pushed her belongings out of the way--but when Harley broke for air, Rae laid back with a self-satisfied smirk. "Okay, be honest: did you just come up here to bone? I'm a modern woman. If that's what you wanted, you could have, like, said so."

Harley notices as Rae put her arms around her. So, she just follows her lead she lays herself on the bed. It ended up with Harley on top of Rae with her legs spread open. Hmm, this could be pretty damn interesting. Harley breaks their kiss so she could catch her breath. She straightens her back as she still keeps her eyes on the pink haired goddess.

"Well, it wasn't my first intention. But, I guess it just happened that way. So, I'm not complaining." She says in a hushed and sultry tone.

At that she laughed, Oy, French people. Always trying to make things more romantic than they are. Rae pulled Harley in closer--wrapping her legs around Harley's torso, burying her head in the crook of the other girl's neck, rubbing her back in long, hard strokes. She would've totally forgotten about the cameras in the HA room if not for her eyes briefly catching sight of the half-eaten gift basket she'd received earlier that week.

With another, much more nervous giggle, Rae flopped back onto the bed and raised a finger to Harley's lips. "So. I'm modern, but... not so modern that I wanna hook up on live TV. I can meet you in the shower though, if you seriously wanna do this. Like. If you aren't just here because I'm queer and here."

Harley slightly grunts as she feels Rae's hand pull her closer to her face. As much as she would love to get down to business in a nice room like this, it is a bit of a turn off that everything would be taped and sent everyone who is watching. Even late at night, editors could use the footage and broadcast it. Although it would sound hot as hell for a worn out porn star...but Harley is still too young and somewhat decent looking for that.

"Hmm, you've got a point. Which really sucks since it is pretty damn clear that we have the queer thing in common. But...the shower does sound like a good idea unless pervs still have cameras there too." She says with a wink along with ending it with a sarcastic tone.
