Subject: Catching Up (private rp w/ Garfield) Wed Apr 17, 2019 2:53 pm

Of coarse one of the first places Sam would visit after returning to the house was the kitchen. She was digging through the pantry looking for anything really. She came across a cook book that was wedged between some cereal and a jar of pickles..... somebody needs to organize this mess.

She Walked over to the counter and began flipping through the pages. Her mouth watered looking at all the delicious recepies she could make... but which one???

Garfield walks in to eat a bowl of...slop but had to shake his head because he thought he saw a giant Pikachu. Sam!!! He says in a deep Thor like voice "Sam daughter of uh humans... for what are you seeking milady?" He puts up a serious expression and poses with a skillet in his hand so Viking like.

Sam perked up at the sound of Garfield's thunderous Thor voice. "Garfield!! Son of... viking... people?" She chuckled. "I'm not as good at that as you are. I'm not looking for anything in particular, just looking at food porn." She closed the book eager to get the skinny on what has been happening since she left. " So tell me, anything interesting happen in the house since my demise?" She rested her head in her hand and grinned.

"Ahah you did good on your first try but...I did promise you that dinner or lunch soo." He looked at the book and examined it. His eyes widen when she asked him that "Well as you can see what happened during the nomination ceremony...pretty much a lot...geez where do I start?"

Sam had completely forgotten about the promised meal! How could she forget anything food related? she got excited! "Oh yeah, tonight was crazy! There was so much shade I thought it was night!" She laughed at her own dumb joke." What was that all about? AND WHY IS DELIN GONE??" She had so many questions.

He lays the skillet onto the stove to heat up and takes some spices out, some ground turkey and a few veggies.
"Well first off...Wanda and Carmen uh I guess flirted with one another but like Carmen completely ghost her or something. Peaches and Paula has been at it for a while even though I thought it wasn't serious...I have never seen Sergio get like that." He puts some olive oil in the skillet then the herbs with the veggies.

He takes a deep breath "Delin and I were both put up together for noms and..." he sighs "it was a vote of 9 to 2 so he got evicted."

Sam wondered what he was going to make as she took in all the new information. "Wanda and Carmen huh? I would have never put those two together. Paula and Peaches too! And poor Sergio... He was just poking fun at Carmen. She shouldn't have blown up at him like that. On his birthday too!!! If he survives elimination, we should throw him a proper birthday party!"

Sam was shocked to hear that Delin and Garfield were up against each other! "Oh man, that must have been a rough elimination night! You were both so well liked in the house. But I'm really happy you're still here!" She gave him a smile.

She decided to change the subject. "How have you been? Last I remember, you and Peaches had gotten pretty close. Anything blossoming between you two?" She grinned at him, anticipating the answer.

"I was thinking that!!! I remembered a while ago it was Aaliyah's and I don't know who else...oh yea a few days ago it was MINE!" He smiles at the thought of making a lil party for Sergio "I like Sergio a lot and he's a very good buddy of mine so he deserves it."
He shrugs "I mean it was my fault being there uh I didn't do well in that challenge so I was automatically nominated, it sucked, miss Delin but I am going to do this for the fallen!" He smiles at her, god he missed her.

His stomach dropped when she mentioned Peaches "Uhh about that eh heh funny thing is that um she" he clears his throat "She kisbekak." He couldn't say the words right "SHE KISSED ME!"

"I MISSED YOUR BIRTHDAY?" Sam was SHOOK. "It's going to have to be a double celebration then!"

She couldn't quite understand what Garfield was mumbling until he finally blurted it out. "GASP! Garf, you're quite the casanova!" She teased with a playful wink. "So like, are you guys a thing or what?" Sam's full attention was now on this subject.

"Uh yea heh I didn't really tell anyone...that runs in the family a lot." He scratches his head.
Geez what a way to dig your ass into the grave harder.
He chuckles "Everyone keeps saying that but no we are not a thing although she said she was going to keep fighting for me, she won't give up."

Sam nodded. "Mmm I see. She's obviously enamored with you. Do you feel the same for her? And sorry if I'm being nosey. I enjoy hearing about other peoples love lives since I've never been with anyone. It fascinates me." She shrugged.

"Oh believe me I am too but I've only been with one person and a half." He was conflicted if he wanted to share his feelings on what's going on "Ehh uh well there seems to be a confliction between two people though one is not aware while the other one is..." he starts getting red and tugs at his collar "This wasn't the first time she tried kissing me, the first I was in the have not room checking up on her when she as emotional...well I comforted her, she leaned in to kiss ANNNND Gobi walked in." He rubs the back of his head "I uh well..." he starts to sweat.

Sam's eyes widened at the sound of Gobi's name being thrown into the mix. She squinted at Garfield, trying to read his face. "That must have been awkward..." She looked off to the side and fiddled with the buttons on her shirt. "Do you uh... have feelings for... someone else?" She was too afraid to ask if he was interested in Gobi out right.

He scratches his jaw and notices Sam tugging at her shirt after he mentioned Gobi.

Sam looked back up at Garfield. "Oh? So ya'll are just friends? I-I mean not that it is any of my business! Sorry, I'm really prodding at this aren't I?" She noticed she had been fiddling with her shirt and stuck her hands in her pockets.

"Ahah yea I mean both of them are friends just how you're an amazing friend to me." He smiles and sniffs the air "Ahh the food is almost done." He tries to change the subject "Uh well w-what's your preference in people?"

"Uhh I mean." He continues blowing at the food to taste it "What's your family like?"

Sam smiled at Garf calling her an amazing friend. She smelled the air as well, almost forgetting he was making food. "That smells amazing!"

She took a double take at his sudden change in subject. She was about to question it, but decided it would be best to move on to another topic anyways. "My family? Uh, they're chill I guess. My dad's a doctor and my mom's a nurse. They wanted me to fallow in their footsteps and go to medical school, but I don't really feel like spending the rest of my life paying off student debt... So I'm a starving artist instead! It took some convincing, but they eventually accepted it. I'm luckier than most. What about you? How's Garfield world?"

His eyes widen "Woah so like you are a medical child?! That's cool! But I am happy you have chosen to go down the artist road while I can't decide what yet I wanted to do. He thinks "Well I am the second oldest out of 5 kids so raising us was a chaos ahah but I really appreciate my parents for raising us because if it wasn't for my dad, I would've went down a bad road." He finishes the food and takes a plate out, pours food onto some romaine lettuce, puts them on the plate and sprinkles some basil flakes on top.

Sam listened intently to Garfield's story. "Five siblings huh? Being an only child, I can't imagine the kind of chaos that went on in that house!"

She stared at the masterpiece Garfield put in front of her with starry eyes. "O-Oh my gosh! This looks amazing!" She rolled one of the leaves into a wrap and took a bite. "OOOOOOOOHHHH. It tastes even better!" She took another bite. "Dude, you said you don't know what you want to do yet? THIS! You are good at THIS!" She pointed at the plate of food. "Has becoming a chef ever crossed your mind?"

He smiles "it was a disaster but it all went well once I started helping my dad with the cooking and cleaning...lost my mom when I was 16 so my dad had to raise us 5."

He blushed at her compliment "I no I never thought of that...my gosh you really like it?!" He clutches the cook book to his chest. He can cook and he gets happy when he's in the kitchen plus also loves to see people happy.

Sam gave Garfield a big smile. "Like it? More like LOVE IT!" She took another bite. "If this is something you have a natural talent for and enjoy doing, then I say go for it! And this is coming from someone who also pursued their natural talent. If you do what you love, you will never work a day in your life!"
